GENERAL INFORMATION...

General
  • We are a Christian, academic co-op that meets every Thursday afternoon from 12:00-4:30pm at Northridge Fellowship in Rogers.
  • We have approximately 50 families
  • Our academic year is from September through April
  • We break mid-December for Christmas and start up again in mid-January
  • Set-up starts at 12pm, announcements at 12:30pm, and 1st hour begins at 1:00

Parent Commitment
  • We do not offer a drop-off option. Moms are required to be present for the entire duration of co-op.
  • Before the new academic year, every mom is assigned a class & subject for the year. Every class is assigned 2 teachers, who equally share the teaching responsibility. For one hour every week, you are required to be in your assigned class.
  • On the weeks you are teaching, you can expect 1-4 hours (depending on the grade level & subject) of planning & prepping, at home, outside of co-op.
  • We have a designated "moms room" for the 2 hours you are not teaching, where you can enjoy a hot meal and fellowship with our other moms.
  • All moms help with set up/tear down duties, take turns bringing food, and take part in a committee (planning field trips, setting up our mom’s room, yearbook committee, etc…)
  • Because we are a parent-taught co-op, we are able to maintain very affordable membership fees.
Financial Commitment
  • Yearly Membership Fees (per family) are estimated to be around $200 - $225 and are due upon acceptance.
  • A Commitment Check of $350 is also required. Checks are only deposited if a member defaults on their membership.
  • Class fees (per class) are in addition to Membership Dues. They are determined by the teachers (to cover the costs of class supplies, experiments, crafts, activies, etc...) and average $10-50 per class.

Student Commitment
  • All students take 3 classes each week. Each class runs 1 hour long. Two of these classes are "core" academic classes and the last one is an "elective" or fun class without homework or a gym time for our elementary classes.
